Born in Hong Kong, raised throughout Asia and schooled in Singapore, Nanz Chong-Komo, 38, is best known as an entrepreneur and the founder of ONE.99shop.

Fresh out of school at 17, she jumped into a career in modelling. At 23, she caught her father's entrepreneurial bug and opened up a clothing boutique called Klis, which was so successful she sold it within 11 months for a profit. ONE.99shop followed in 1997, which had 14 stores at its peak.

When ONE.99shop finally closed in 2003, everyone’s asking: why did ONE.99shop fail, and what will Nanz do next?

Well, plenty!

Married for eight years to Larry Komo, a Japanese-American investment banker, Nanz has three beautiful children who occupy her time and her heart!

Her other labour of love, ONE BUSINESS 99 LESSONS, was three years in the making and answers many questions that people have about ONE.99shop.

Launched in March 2006 with the first print-run sold out in three weeks, ONE BUSINESS 99 LESSONS remains on the best-seller lists of major bookstores.

Nanz is also one of the most sought-after corporate speakers and trainers today, bringing her large personality and even larger heart into boardrooms to encourage teamwork and impart wisdom to business leaders, as well as the face of Shi'jano, a Swedish science-based range of skincare recently launched in Asia.

And there are still many other opportunities beckoning!
